LED Street lighting in different places
- Metropolitan street
In a city or metropolis, there always lots of cars and pedestrian. Metropolitan street must meet some technical requirement and equipped with necessary facility like traffic light, signal board. It is always located in the middle of one city, provide service transportation service to buildings and citizens around it. Metropolitan street are combined by express way, main road, subsidiary road, bypass road, residential road.
- Express way
Express way in one city is one of the most important road, long distance, heavy traffic and most efficient street. There always isolation strips in the middle of the express way, and always under strict control in the entrance and exit. Because of heavy traffic, it always require higher luminous flux, more bright. High LED street light pole, and more power consumption LED street light is required.
- Main road
Main road is always used to connect different block/district in one city, just like blood vessel in human body. Normally the drive way and bicycle lane is separated.
- Subsidiary road
Just like spider net, subsidiary road connect all the main road.
- Bypass road
Bypass road always connect different residential area, different block.
- Residential road
Residential road is inside of residential area or uptown, there is always no drive way, only for pedestrian use.
LED street light are widely used in above road, in different power, different luminous flux, different height of lamp pole. In some place like uptown, LED courtyard light, or LED lawn light are widely used.
How many types of street light we have?
LED street light are divided in different kind of view, different purpose and materials.
- If divided by LED street light pole, the height of it, we got LED high mast light and LED street light.
- If divided by different material, there will be stainless steel and steel street light.
- Divided by light source, we have sodium street lamp, metal halide street lamp, metal halogen street lamp, LED street light, energy saving street light.
- Divided by different shape/model, we got landscape street light, single arm lamp, double arm lamp.
- Divided by power supply

- High mast LED street light
If the lamp pole is over 20 meters, we call it high mast LED street light, normally it is for large area lighting, used in square, cross road, wharf, airport, bus station, stadium, playground.,etc. High mast LED street light always equipped with lifter, the lamps can be landing on ground by elevator when maintenance is needed, no need a suspending car or work high above ground, much more safe.
- Half mast LED street light
Half mast LED street light is always defined as street light pole 15-20 meters. It can be used for street lighting, also as flood lighting for large area lighting purpose.
