Basic Knowledge for LED Lights
What is your LED outdoor lighting product color temperature? Can you provide clients the product according to clients requirement?
Normally our LED lighting product color temperatures are 3000K, 4500K, 5500K; however the color temperature range we can provide for our clients are 2500-6500K, within this scope, we can do any color temperature product according to clients requirement.
Normally for outdoor LED street light, LED high bay light, LED gas station light, we will do it 5000-5500k, it is very comfortable white, not miserable white, or make people uncomfortable.
What is the color rending index of your products? And color tolerance?
All our products CRI is 72-75Ra, color tolerance is <5 SDCM.
For outdoor lighting product, no need too high CRI.
What is the working temperature of your products, for the light source?
Our product are running perfectly -40℃-55℃.
What is the heat resistance of your light source/LED chips?
Our LED chip heat resistance is 0.4℃/W
What is the name brand of your integrated LED chips? And what is the main parameters?
We are using American Bridgelux Chips, Osram, Philips, Nichia, Cree chips.
The Bridgelux chip is BXCD, BXCE, size is 45*45mil
The normal driving voltage in LED lighting industry for 45*45mil chips is 3.3-3.6V, but our chips is 2.8-3.0V. As the smaller working voltage, higher quality it will, and more power will be saved.
The normal driving current in LED lighting industry for 45*45mil chips is 350mA-700mA, our product driving current is 300mA-330mA, to save more power.
What is your products ESD lever?
Our ESD protection lever is >3000V, much higher than normal products 500V, so when in dry winter, our products quality still running very well, not influenced by static electricity. As we know LED chips are very fragile, better ESD prtection level means more safe when running.
What is the other LED chip brands in the LED lighting industry?
Some other famous LED chips brands are Philips, Osram, Bridgelux, CREE, Nichia. In our company, Bridgelux and Philips 3030, Osram 3030, CREE XBD are widely used.
What is the luminous efficiency of your light source? What is your luminous loose standard?
The luminous efficiency for our LED chips is 125-135lm/w, the finished product luminous efficiency is 100-120lm/w. And luminous maintenance is: 3000hrs≥96.5%, 6000hrs≥93.1%, 10000hrs≥86%
What is the thermal grease brand you are using?
Normally we use Dow Corning brand, and some other Taiwan brand, for high heat dissipation.
What is your LED street light beam angle?
Our LED street light beam angle is 135*75°
What is the main power for your LED Chips?
The most commonly used power for LED chips are 10W, 20W, 30W, 40W, 50W, 60W, 70W, 80W, 90W, 100W. As it is much more difficult to do heat dissipation for power over 60W, we always don’t suggest clients to use it over 60W. If need 200W LED lighting products, we will use 5pcs 40W, or 4pcs 50W LED chips, to make the lamp temperature lower. As we all know the light decline is always caused by high temperature. The lower temperature, the longer lifespan for LED lighting products.
What is the heat dissipation base for your LED chips, and the advantages for it?
For all our products, we are using pure red copper, with silver electroplating, this is the best solution in the LED lighting industry. Pure red/purple copper will make sure the high temperature caused by LED chips will be transmitted to LED lighting body. And the silver cover will allow utmost light reflected and utilized.
What is the junction temperature for your integrated LED chips?
Our LED chips junction temperature for PN knot is strictly controlled under 85℃.
What is the heat sink temperature for your out door LED lighting products?
Normally it is under 65℃. In order to make more efficiency heat dissipation, for some items like LED street light and LED high bay light, we will use purple copper with high purity aluminum alloy 6063 for more efficient heat dissipation.
What is the advantage of your integrated LED chips lighting products and why?
The advantage for integrated LED chips:
All light will be more concentrated, with much greater penetration.
Much better consistency for color temperature, for the phosphor powder is coated all in one time, more smooth surface.
Optical pyrex glass can be used for second time light re-direction. More light transmitted, less light lost.
Pyrex glass always used in outdoor LED lighting products, the advantage are: never rust or corrosion, never get aged, resist UV, wind, can work -50℃-500℃.
Heat dissipation advantages:
- The LED chips are encapsulated directly on the silk electroplated copper base, with high heat transmission phosphor.
- Can be connected on the heat sink much more smoothly, without gap or air between LED chip and heat sink, if there is gap or air, heat dissipation will be bad.
- LED chip drive by high power but low voltage, low heat dissipation and long life span.
- Integrated chips no need to welding, but Philips 3030 or Osram 3030 need to weld one by one on the PC board.
- Low input voltage 28-30V, while high input voltage will have big impact on the LED chips and influence the life for it.
- It is more easy for maintenance, for better replacement.
